I also agree there was some great artist that did not get the vote, but I also agree that Disco's Out (Murder's In) is very good, it is so good to hear different types of instruments to be included in a band and has anyone played Kids this one has to be a winner.

Mr Experienced Listener, I remember you clearly. The duo you speak about (The Sval Bards) were indeed very good, and got through to the next round. I also remember you singing the praises of Disco's Out (Murder's In), I'm sure you're happy to see they got through too :)
The band you made it perfectly clear you were a big fan of (Not Made In China) unfortunately didn't, I hear it was close though...

Well I was there and am amazed at the results just announced. True, I only heard about 8 bands. Most of them were standard fair ,3 guitars and drums with boring guitar lead breaks, screaming singers and undecypherable lyrics. Just a couple of bands seemed to me to shine through as original, interesting and actually playing music you would want to listen to again. One duo had a guy with a clear and interesting voice who also played drums. Nice changes of pace, a bit wierd but then thats a good thing. The other a trio with lively bass taking a lead and a girl singing understandable and interesting lyrics while playing a rickenbacker 12 string that cut throughthe bass and drums. I see that neither band got through to the next round. I don't understand the judges choices. Looking at the bands that did go through, I would say they are almost the exact opposite of what should have got through. Certainly the judges don't share my musical taste.
