Saturday Night Sunday Morning
PUMP UP THE HOUSING BENEFIT [Rephlex] - B.R.POSSE
The Railway Raver under the B.R. Posse name, first class acid house, with a sublime head nod to the heard.
NORMAL (HELSTON FLORA REMIX BY AFX) [Rephlex] - BABY FORD
Baby Ford's 'normal' gets the AFX treatment with all the stops.
RABBIT TRAX ii (next gen) [Yoton - YTN 001] - JAMES 'JACK RABBIT' MARTIN
An extremely rare & forgotten gem of a track, so futuristic for a track made in 1988, rave sirens and massive 303 lines. Defiantly a taste of things to come back in the late 80's!
PLAY YOUR ACID RIGHT [radio 1 breezeblock 4-1-04] - CEEPHAX ACID CREW
If you look up the word "SLAMMER" in the Oxford English dictionary, it might say "play your acid right".. it might not though.
LAND OF CONFUSION [Westbrook Records] - ARMANDO
The original Master of the Tb-303 and my all time favourite acid producer, The Epitome of 303 baselines and acid House music.
DREADED PESTILENCE [Rephlex] - CHAOS A.D
Pure Filth and so fucking brutal... god I love the ms-20 filters! near the end of the track it just gets more and more ridiculous.
ACID THUNDER [D.J. International Records ] - FAST EDDIE
This is Chicago style.
JAK THE BOX [International Deejay Gigolo Records] - THE DIRTY CRIMINALS
A track from three of the baddest Chicago Boys [Hieroglyphic Being and Traxx. Dee Coy] disgustingly Huge and dirty 101 & 303 Basslines.
RUSHUP I BANK 12 [Rephlex] - THE TUSS
Fattest analogue bass, gx1, bank hall reverb.
DIDGERIDOO [R & S Records] - THE APHEX TWIN
THE song to end any party, those who are still standing wont be after this epic outback journey.
QUEEN BEE [unreleased] - CHRIS MOSS ACID
This song was done for a friend of mine, because she broke her leg dancing to the Bee Gees, so I did this track to cure her anguish, but mentally I think it drove her into a coma of melancholy..which is perfect for a Sunday.
THEME FROM ERNEST BORGNINE [Rephlex] - SQUAREPUSHER
Just in case you have some spare energy.
OUTRUN - PASSING BREEZE [commodore 64] - - HIROSHI MIYAUCHI
Nothing can relax as much as a rinse on outrun [c64] not only does this track bring back memories its a tight bit of fusion.
DELPHIUM [Apollo] - APHEX TWIN
One of the first tracks I ever heard from Richard d James, a favourite, which appears on the finest 'electronica' album of all time - SAW85-92
SINKING OF THE TITANIC [Obscure (UK)] - GAVIN BRYARS
Is putting an hour long track cheating? I don't care, this is a mental piece of music, so minimal but yet... so solid.
SYNEK [Rephlex] - CYLOB
Sound Melody's with one of the most melodic men in the UK!
GOOD OL' DAZE [Rephlex] - DMX KREW
A lush acid track by the king of electro. no matter what time of year you slam this track on, it's summer time!
SHADOWS [Ninja Tune] - WAGON CHRIST
A great track by Luke Vibert, which borrows a theme from a James Bond film, the music video to this is great too. Mucho enjoyability.
IESOPE [Rephlex] - U-ZIQ
Full on ambiance with Mike Paradinas.
PSYK [NovaMute] - PLASTIKMAN
Trance out with some deep and minimal acid pummelling.
