It’s always pleasing to hear about a local band who are creating a buzz outside of our local scene. Rapids! are certainly creating some sizeable waves, not just in our hometown, but more importantly on the nation’s airwaves. Fresh from finding out that they were going to be featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC6 Music radio show, they have followed that up with an even juicier nugget – a feature on Steve Lamacq’s Introducing BBC6 show – including a ten minute live interview and a play of their brand new ep.

Considering these “Angular Art Pinksters™” have only been playing together for little more than six months, they clearly have more than just decent tunes. Having already played some fairly high profile gigs (supporting Errors at The Joiners as well as showcase gigs in London), there’s definitely someone pulling some significant strings.
