As the preparation continues for the main Oxjam Bournemouth Takeover Event on 23 October, we’ve been busy organising a number of fundraising events over the coming months. The first of which will be taking place a week tomorrow (29 July) at O’Neill’s at the Lansdowne in Bournemouth.

This gig is FREE ENTRY! and features five fantastic artists – The Neon Tigers, Toupé, Sarah Griffin, Mischa and Chris Woodford. The live music kicks off at 8pm and we’ll be holding a raffle to raise money for Oxfam as well as taking your kindly donations. This line-up is quite superb and would usually come with an entrance fee of ‘a number’ of pounds. If everyone who attends donates just £1 that would be hugely appreciated – obviously more would be fab! – facebook event

Then we’re delighted to be given a stage at the brilliant Endorse it in Dorset Festival. We’ve already written a few words about this event, so this is just a reminder that you can catch nine superb bands plus dj Mr Lively at the Wig-On Casino Stage on Sun 8 August. We’ve just knocked up a facebook event too.

The following Thursday (12 Aug) we’ll be holding an event at The Winchester, featuring three superb bands. One who have been around a few years – Animal Talent Show, one who have just played a couple of gigs – Zac Harris and The Blackwater Caravan, and one who will be playing their debut, a highly anticipated set from ¾ of Dutch Husband, namely Head Of A Cuban Trojan. Entry is just £3 with all profits going into Oxjam Bournemouth’s fundraising pot.
