Sound Track: Dusty Cuts – ‘People’
Dusty Cuts first came to our attention a couple of years ago, maybe less, amongst those triumphant though ultimately miserable Gander days (the recent years). I think I met them personally before watching them as a band, having heard good things… diamond geezers they were too, full of passion and energy not just about their own music, but the local scene too – something which remains to this day, especially with Ant’s work with FairPlay and Chaplins. Live, Dusty Cuts are a funky ska-reggae tour de force, with an air tight rhythm section, and feature the quality scrtatch-skillz of Aaron Williams. ‘People’ highlights everything that makes Dusty Cuts the sort of band that could grace any decent festival that wants its punters dancing like loons. Oh, the sort of band who are just made to support the legendary Pama International too…
Dusty Cuts on ‘People’…
In my opinion as ‘People’ was the first track we worked on as a band it seemed to set the precedence and ultimately helped define our style. It is generally the first song we play in our live set too to raise the energy and let people know what they’re in for! It can be found on our debut E.P. Enter the Boombox…
